PRODUCTION PROCESS

ONBOARDING

I’m a producer who takes time to study references and understand what the music is trying to say, then figure out the best way bring it to life. When you reach out, I’ll ask for a demo, some reference tracks, basic project info, and the timeline. From there, I’ll send a rough quote and we’ll hop on a call to lay the groundwork so both of us know what to expect.

TOOLS & WORKFLOW

I use Ableton Live 12, record real guitars and bass, and play other instruments with MIDI and sound libraries. I occasionally use samples, and I sometimes tap session players when a part needs a higher level of performance or if it helps save time. I typically produce instrumentals remotely, on my own — that’s where I work best — but I’m flexible. Some artists give me full creative freedom, others prefer to stay hands-on with regular check-ins. I primarily use Telegram for client communication and revisions.

REVISIONS & DELIVERY

I don’t limit revisions on song productions, but if things drift too far from the plan, we’ll pause to realign. When the project is done, I’ll deliver the master, stems, instrumental, a cappella, and any other requested files.

PRODUCTION

My remote process typically has two main phases: the instrumental phase, where I build up to 80% of the arrangement and send drafts for your feedback, and the vocal production phase, where you record vocals at a studio near you and send them back to me for final production. I’ll guide you before the session with a pre-recording call and notes to help make sure what’s sent back is clean — and if needed, I can join the session virtually.

POST-PRODUCTION

After the arrangement is finalized, and everything has been recorded, I’ll go back and refine, edit, and clean everything up — chopping out unwanted sounds — adding and removing elements when necessary.

ABOUT ME

280113949_7755759311133385_7167546603138945228_n.jpg

Hi, I’m Wahly — a music producer from Bicol, Philippines. I specialize in remote production while still working closely with artists to turn raw ideas into fully realized records.

I’ve had the honor of producing for incredible talents like ila, Natun, and DWTA, whose song “Santigwar” earned us two Awit Awards nominations in 2023. I’ve also collaborated with artists including Mei Teves and Patrick Roxas through Balay Salinmusika, a residency led by John Owen Castro of Munimuni. These continue to shape how I approach storytelling through sound.

Beyond collaborations, I write and release my own music — my track “Bisperas” won 2nd place in Arete’s National Christmas Songwriting Competition, and I’m currently part of FRISBEE, having released four singles and placed 7th in the DTI’s Young Creatives’ Challenge Season 1.

I recently completed the Malikhaing Pinoy: Music Business Masterclass at MINT College to deepen my understanding of the industry and build stronger creative partnerships.

I’m all about bringing musical ideas to life — with care and intention. If you're looking for a producer who values both vision and execution, let’s make something together.
